The official Super BOWL as entertainment thread (commercials, snacks, gaga)

Interesting! I actually didn't even notice her abdomen at all. I was too busy admiring her talent &, tbh, wishing my legs looked like hers

I am really old by DCUM standards and I was happy that Lady Gaga looked fit and had incredible legs. I worry about the young performers who starve themselves so that their ribs and collarbones have more prominence than their talent.

Marky Mark left the super bowl early and missed the Patriots come back. He's not a real fan. Can't stand the guy, so I'm glad he missed the epic come back...he will regret that for the rest of his life.

She's an Italian from New York. You KNOW that girl is eating pasta on the regular. I think her body looked REAL, rather than Hollywood-polished. And quite frankly, her confidence was so sexy to me.

She looked great!

News flash: those sparkly panties she wore had to be tight so they wouldn't move while she danced...and the tight waistband produced the extra skin on top. I bet she wouldn't have that in a regular bikini. Her body is fit and beautiful.

I completely agree. Best halftime show I've ever seen!

Prince put on the best half time show in the history of the Super Bowl

Prince all the way!

Isn't that what a good performer is supposed to do? You'd like her to be performing, but NOT trying to draw attention to herself? That's such odd criticism. And please, let's see your dance moves!

Surely you recognize the difference between an attention-starved child jumping about in front of you shouting, "Look what I can do!" versus a performer who's working hard, but making it look smooth and easy.

100% this
She even has protruding abs- that's impressive even if they were contoured!

Its exactly how Olumpic swimmers have all that back stuff hang over in their race suits- that's skin and muscle and maybe enough fat to keep them alive- its not "fat"

Haven't watched it yet, but enjoyed the televised commercial. I'll be sure to check it out.

Omg, finally got the website to load. My 40-year-old DH who walked from El Salvador to the US as a child with his mother and sister is sitting here sobbing on the couch.

Hugs to them!

I came to the US with money to attend a pricey ivy league law school, then became an immigrant, so while I'm an immigrant I didn't face the troubles they did. But perhaps because I am a mom and understand that some societies are just so poverty stricken and devoid of opportunities (I grew up in Brazil), and because I can also relate to that mom who wants to provide for her child, I was crying. I hardly ever cry. It was understated, raw, moving, and haunting. I am still tearing up writing this. Even if one is not an immigrant or a mom, I am sure many thought it was moving. I especially liked it was understated, and how much was communicated through expressions.

Family first. I really like him.
