I know this thread is two years old but so glad I clicked on that. Can’t stop laughing.

Once he outgrows them, he can at least resell them to recoup some of the money you spent on them. The aftermarket for Amiri's jeans just doesn't exist like that at the moment, nor do I think it ever will.

1) This thread is so great that i'm glad that a spammer likely resurrected it 2 years later.
2) In this whole, this post for me wins the day. Misses the point by... a lot.

Rich people are dumb AF. The fact that they are so easily taken by this scam to buy jeans that look like what our local junkie wears is so hilarious I can't even. And don't get me started on the bags worth thousands and sneakers for a cool grand. Jesus. Horrible.

No, you got the math wrong! Buy him a pair of $30 jeans and send $970 to a charity. You were going to blow a grand on a pair of dirty jeans, anyway.

Levis? Are his dress pants Dockers??

I love that you dredged up an almost 3 year old thread for this enlightening comment.

You're not as funny as you think you are.

maybe you should tell him to by cheap ones and make them look like that himself thats what I do its "cooler" anyway. then maybe he will make a brand or something and be able to buy himself those jeans.

Buy him a pair of consignment “designer jeans” and give him a pair of scissors to cut/ design them. Done

Oh man, when I went to GDS the most expensive thing I had to buy to be cool was dirty white JCrew flip flops.

My son also attends GDS. I didn't buy him the 1K jeans; however, I did buy him a Martin 0042JM-C John Mayer Crossroads Acoustic guitar for $8000 with three 1-hour guitar lessons per week at the cost of $75/hour.
