Legends of the Fall.

Eyes Wide Shut - Unbelievably boring. And not at all shocking.

I cannot believe Portman got the Oscar for it and so much critical acclaim. I was laughing hysterically at her big emotional scenes they were so absurdly over the top.

+1 to Black Swan. She got the Oscar for dieting down to nothing.

I thought it should've been called "as good as it gets for women with low self esteem "

Helen hunt's character wanting to be with jack Nicholson's character...why??? The dog was the best thing about the movie

Agree. So uninteresting.

The first would be "Movies so dumb I don't get why anyone wants to watch them" (e.g. Titanic)

The second would be "Movies I'm way too stupid to understand" (e.g. movies by Tarantino or Kubrick)

The second could also be "Movies too stupid I don't care to understand."

A friend had to explain to me that Eyes Wide Shut was about the Illuminati. So I went down the rabbit's hole and haven't been the same since.

damn movie

Wait... so you've joined the Illuminati now?
Where can I sign up?

Don't sign up with those 2nd raters! Knights Templar is where it's at

In what world is that stupid movie supposed to be marketed as a Christmas movie?

I love all the actors in it and like most British movies, but Love Actually is so dumb.

Yeah, I didn't get this one either.

Someone earlier mentioned "The Lobster" with Collin Ferrell. It was super weird

I felt the same, and think Jennifer Lawrence was much better in Winter's Bone (also thought it was a better movie.)

+1 to Lost in Translation. I travel overseas a lot for work and it still did not resonate with me at all.

+1 to The Hurt Locker. Just did not get the hoopla.

Adding to the list The most recent Paul Dano/Daniel Radcliffe movie (can't remember the name). Weirdest, most fucked up movie I have ever seen.

I think R rated movies that are supposed to be funny are all the same. Adults naked or drunk or high. All so stupid.

I tried watching it, and could not get past the first 20 minutes.

I think we can stipulate "all Gwyneth Paltrow movies" -- that's just bad acting.
Sliding Doors was awesome!

Movies I can't stand: lord of the rings trilogy. Basically a weird fantasy where there's no women, except for 5 minutes where a weird angel like liv Tyler floats in and says something nonsensical, then floats out again. Also 3 f-ing hours long and there are 3 of them!
. I suppose you hate Game of Theones too!
