I think it was either or both of her parents.
The exact amount of the Father's bonus makes me suspicious it was an inside job. Plus there was some physical evidence that she was molested. Or the Mother could have been jealous of her daughter's youth + charmed beauty. |
You know jack sh*t about abuse then. People stay silent for years, sometimes forever. This is an interview with Frank Shorter, an Olympic runner. He and his siblings were beaten regularly by his well-respected Dr. father. He disclosed how this abuse led him to running as an adult (age 63) in a magazine interview. With the revelations, the lead interview insisted on having corroboration from his siblings. There stories of rapes and abuse that the siblings had never talked about even among themselves: http://www.wbur.org/hereandnow/2016/08/02/frank-shorter-olympics-marathon Covering up the murder, wouldn't necessarily show the heart of a psychopath, but rather the same kind of personality that value how things look above all else. A person would bleach her kid's hair and parade her though a myriad of beauty pageants. A person who lost one child, but wasn't going to lose another, so writes a ridiculous 2-3 page ransom not from a note pad in her home. A person who would hire a publicist for the funeral of her slain daughter. Murdering out of passion or lying about a murder doesn't make you a serial killer. |
So she ate pineapple around 10pm, then went to bed. At some point a stranger smashed in her skull, then waited a couple of hours, took her to the basement and strangled her with supplies gathered from inside the house. Sexually assaulted her. Went back upstairs and wrote a ransom note (with rough draft). Then left the ransom note at the bottom of the stairs for Patsy to find at 5:00am......and disappeared into the night. I just can not...begin to believe that. |
wow. I would think unfortunately as a child beauty star, there would be pedofiles in that circle. sounds sadly likely. could be a photographer, makeup artist, another girls dad from a pageant. . |
did they match the DNA against the brother? |
Where did you read this? I have read a lot about this case and haven't ever seen anything about what you're writing. |
If the circumstances were different, if she had been abducted from her yard or if someone had snuck into her house and taken her,,,maybe. It's this idea that this killer was inside the house gathering up supplies, writing notes, killing and sexually assaulting the child for hours all while the parents and her brother slept soundly through it all. This killer was up and down 3 stories of that house....and no one heard a thing. I don't believe it. |
I think that would be pretty standard. But in this case? Who knows. I honestly respect the police and the detectives that work these scenes but - wow - this one was not handled well. |
The information about the new DNA was given by the prosecutor when they stated that they had cleared the Ramseys. I can't remember exactly when this was, but I believe Patsy was already deceased. |
Interesting. I guess if the prosecution cleared them that's it. Right? It will always be a mystery though - that is for sure. |
The DNA in the girl's underwear was an unknown male suspect. There had been many burglaries in the neighborhood. The unknown male suspect hit her in the head and sexually assaulted her. He then finished her off by strangling her in order to prevent her from identifying him if she regained consciousness.
There was a similar child rape in Illinois years ago. The pedophile picked up a little girl in a small town. He drove her to a remote location and assaulted her overnight. The next morning he strangled her to death because he didn't want her to be able to identify him. (They caught him because a security camera caught an image of his license plate.) |
I remember at the time, they tested new underwear that had been made in China, as had JonBonets and found foreign DNA, so thought this unknown DNA was a contaminant. Later, It was tested for touch DNA, which is more sophisticated and this same male DNA was found on the sides of her pajama bottoms, leading to the conclusion that it was an intruders DNA. |
I think she was killed by someone known to the family.
I think she was abused for years with her parents knowledge and maybe even consent. I 'm not certain if her death was intentional or unintentional. But it was definitely covered up and probably runs deeper than we will ever know and we will likely never know the truth. She would have been 26 years old this month. I hope she's found the peace she likely never had in her 6 years on earth in the afterlife. |
Burke's interview on the Dr Phil show is set to air in September. I'll plan on watching it.
I have always felt so bad for that kid. |
I think that sounds pretty psychopathic to murder your injured but not dead child in order to cover up an injury. If they did that then it was only accidental in the sense it was accidentally on purpose. It wasn't just an innocent accident. I think one of the parents could have done it but if so they did it intentionally. Where is an example of a kid that accidentally died and the parent staged a murder to cover it up? (which was Casey Anthony's defense - that Caylee accidentally drowned). Of course, she was almost certainly lying. It makes no sense. Nobody murders their child to cover up an accidental injury or even death, because if it was unintentional then they wouldn't jump to assuming the child was dead. It's just not the frame of mind you'd be in. There would have to be some kind of intentional wrongdoing. This also seems like a very elaborate cover up that could not have been conceived in a short time in the middle of the night. To me the elaborate nature of it lends credibility to the idea that the perpetrator had planned this, at least vaguely (by that I mean possibly had this in the back of their mind as a backup plan). |
