No way. They're all to beta/emotional.

As opposed to the manly millennials who live at home and/or don't know how to drive?

Writing notes and folding them in some kind of crazy origami type shape (no texts or phones)

This one really made me laugh. Loved these.

Lol, me too. And that game where you had categories (city, type of house, type of car, number of children) and picked answers for each, then thought of a number, like six, and you crossed out every sixth answer. At the end you had your future!

I remember when my dad bought an Apple 2e.

We had the Apple 2c. It was considered "portable" because the monitor had a handle.

I've told my kids so much about 70s and 80s and now try oldest is obsessed. It truly was a magical yet f@cked up time in that almost everyone in our neighborhood got divorced and we kids went wild. Fun good times. But don't want my kids to get crazy like we did (drinking, pot, driving, boys, etc).

Not having to drink the Disney princess Kool Aid. When I was growing up in the 70s and 80s, no one ever called me or any other little girl a "princess." We wore Toughskins and played on our bikes or skateboards outside with the boys. In many ways it was much more equitable.

C'mon! Tretorns? Everyone wore those. Bermuda bags? That you could button on and off the wooden frame?

What about those Chinese black mary jane flats? Remember those?

- Porki's
- Revenge of the Nerds
- Purple Rain

Need I say more.

Also Meatballs and Friday the 13th, completely inappropriate for a tween but I watched them at that age, I think when it aired on HBO.

I also had a pet rock.

Yes I watched all of these movies at a VERY young age.

• Enjoying the freedom of going wherever we wanted w/out the fear of being kidnapped or murdered by some random sex offender.
• Having the joy of calling our local radio station to request our favorite song, then excitedly waiting by the radio until it came on!
• Not being stressed out over being "unreachable" for hours.
There were actual benefits then of not having a cell phone.
• The music...!!...We had the very best music during the 80's.
No one can EVER doubt that!
