Stepmom
A.I. - agree PP
A League of Their Own... it shouldn't but it does... the Madonna song at the end...
Also agree with those who said Dear Zachary but I consider that in another category... it's not exactly a tearjerker, it's just so horrific that we can't help but cry. Most tearjerkers have a happy, though bittersweet ending (at least in my personal definition!)

Likely “The Bridges of Madison County.”

Also:
• Titanic
• Stand by Me
• When They See Us

I'll be watching that never again.

That sudden ending shocked the heck out of me.

It was not bittersweet at all.
Only tragic.

I couldn’t believe it.

Yes! Haven't thought of that movie in years, but it's so incredibly sad.

Yes! God, my family is German, and when I watched that it felt like a kick in the gut. And it was just a really good movie.

Definitely Beaches. And a movie called Raise High the Red Lantern (or something close). My god, I didn’t think it was possible to pack so much sadness in one film.

Opening sequence of rebooted Star Trek movie.

An oldie: My Life with Michael Keaton. Man finds out his wife is pregnant the same day he is diagnosed with terminal cancer. He sets out to record videos documenting who he was for his unborn son. Son is born. Dad dies. End scene.
