| The greatest thing our country has done is pretend things to protect feelings . It's humane. The truth is humiliating and really what good would it do to speak it? The problem is unsolvable. Might as well be nice .. It's the Christian thing to do. |
+1. I came to this conclusion awhile back also. |
Just look at Africa. A basket case in all ways. And Haiti. |
I bet if you asked asian male teens if they would switch bodies with a black male teen, ceteris paribus (UPMC, both married parents at home, expectations etc) they would do it. 10x easier to get into HYPSMW, 2x the phallus size - most would jump at it. |
Not in a million years. |
To make one thing clear. I am a black woman and I have never, ever wanted to switch bodies with anyone, regardless of their race. I have thoughts of having a flatter stomach, or a bigger jaw, or thicker hair in the front of my head, but never wanted to be a different race or a different person. Spooky. I did as a child dream that somehow, race would not matter in the future. That was the "switch" that I wanted . As painful many of my experiences have been as a black woman, I would not change places with anyone else. Those experiences make me a better person, but to be honest, they weaken me at times, and I truly believe the stress will shorten my life a bit. |
|
For all those who applaud Asians and their success, I wonder how long that will continue. White people have dealt with non whites who are more successful in strange ways. I have seen my share of whites who hate Asians even with the success they have had thus far. Something tells me anyone as racist as the supporters of this professor and the prof himself, will eventually turn on Asians. These guys are just using Asians to get at blacks.
Also, someone has suggested that the Asians who want to sue Harvard for denial of admission, should also being suing to get the same treatment that blacks received during slavery and Jim Crow. |
Wrong. The most disastrous and stupid thing you can ever do is LIE to protect feelings. Lies can NEVER be the basis for a sound and sustainable policy. The problem is not insolvable -- but will NEVER be solved if we keep lying to ourselves about it. Oh, and one last thing. LYING is not the Christian thing to do. Just the opposite. |
| ^^^ it will never be solved. Following Christ has nothing to do with organizing society. Following Christ is focusing on your own personal sins and trying to overcome them for his sake. Nothing has worked or will work . Our U S society as it is, is probably as nice a life that is possible to achieve on such a huge scale. |
That sounds like extremely convenient interpretation of the Bible, especially given that the first half of it is about organizing society. |
