PP(teacher), speaking as a mom of 3 school aged children, do not feel obligated to send a thank you note for gifts received from your students/parents. These gifts are a Thank You to you for all of the unrecognized work teachers do every day with our children. Some parents around Fairfax County need to humble themselves, give without the expectations of receiving, and teach their children the same. It is very offensive to me that someone would "expect" a thank you note from a teacher. I recognize and appreciate the work teachers do every day for very little pay and recognition. I want to assist with making your job a little easier and hopefully give you a little something that helps you feel appreciated - not add to your "to do" list. Without your commitment to our children I hate to think what sort of education they would receive. Thank You.
