OP - I have been in a few accidents in recent years, and never set foot in a hospital once. Cars are a lot safer now a days than 10 years ago.

Then you said the combined income of your household is 180K and you are still worried about money? You got bigger issues.

Your husband is not getting a car that costs 50K. He found something that is under 20K, which is very reasonable and normal now a days.

In addition, it isn't like he and your daughter came home in a cab and then he says, we were in an accident, he called you from the scene! What did you expect to happen?

You are a world class jerkoff. I wish you nothing but misery and chastity in 2015.

Fuck you.

Here is the problem with my DH. He is cheap. The last car he had was his aunt's old BMW. He waste hungry DD to drive in that old hooptie when he almost killed DD because he was too cheap to pay for lessons. I to,d him the GLK is the perfect car for us, but he refuses to listen.

He sounds irresponsible and this is probably another in a long line of childish and destructive antics, which is why OP is so disgusted.

Ah, troll, you've overplayed your hand now.

You can think I'm a troll all you want, but I did write his Mom. She needs to know how concerned I am that her so n is endangering my child. Of course, she'll blow me off b/c her son can do no wrong.

I know this is a little late in the game but didn't you know all this about him before you married him? If so why did you marry him and have kids with him? It is all about choices. You made a choice to marry him and now the ding bat things you may have thought of as cute aren't so cute anymore. Deal with it, your daughter crashed your car while he was teaching her to drive. Is he a bad driver is that why you didn't want him teaching her? Other thing get your head out of your a$$...your husband (for now) and father of your child is having chest pain from either his chest hitting the steering wheel or the air bag, get that addressed NOW before you spend any more time thinking about YOU.

What kind of person doesn't have good insurance coverage for a new teen driver? That is just begging for trouble.

Not really. The problem is with you. You are too status conscious. A Mercedes Benz is a luxury car. It is not something you get when on a budget. He bought a reliable car with a high safety factor but you are too concerned with looking cheap that you can't see that he got an excellent car for your family. You don't have the budget to spend the kind of money you want on a Benz. Additionally, you don't want to pay the extra car insurance that an under 25 year old will need for an expensive luxury car. The only thing I agree with your assessment is that your family does need driving lessons.

Since about 80% of the respondants agree with your husband, it sounds like you are the one who refuses to listen.

Not havig a car insurance is a huge mistake. Everyone has to get it. And don't be afraid of the price. You can always find an affordable one for you using such websites as lowcarinsurequotes. I use it and save lots money on my car insurance really
