Rent a 2nd place in a better boundary

Nope, we will not be taking a PK3/PK 4 spot, so no worries!
As for the Home Depot lady, not sure what to make of your post. Are you looking for a slow clap for home construction? You are pissed that folks are not renovating houses?

If we have a residence in a better area, WHICH WE DO we are not cheating the system. We are going to our IB school.

You guys all smart of a 'stay in your place' type of philosophy.

If you are going to the IB school for your residence (meaning where you live) or you are OOB through legitimate means or you go to a charter, no one is talking about you. The discussion is about lying about where you live to gain access to a particular school and justifying it as no big deal. If you are not doing that then that is in fact no big deal.

No,to be clear. I'm going to use our other residence for school- just not pre school.

Wonder if the teacher could be subject to additional penalties relating to her job if her fraud is found out.
DC also says a couple can't live in a studio or a couple and baby can't live in a 1 bedroom
Citation?

Well. Considering there are no penalties. I'd say no.
Love,
The teacher

So, worst case for the teacher, her kid will be kicked out of JKLM? No repaying tuition value, losing her DCPS job and pension?

Its NOT fraud ladies. Its not. Its a creative way to get around our terrible school. We have two places we can live. When it comes time to send our kid to school- we are going to choose the 2nd location.

But you don't want to hear that.

You guys do not want to believe it, but at my previous school my principal sent her kids, who lived in Maryland to one of those JKLM schools. The principals knew about it, of course. It happens. You can huff and puff, but it happens ALL THE TIME.

Or better yet, spend your time trying to root us out through OOB play dates and the like.

That is not her.

And, the difference again is... we LIVE IN DC.

It may happen all the time, but it's still fraud.

Your child is entitled to attend the school that is IB for the location in which he sleeps. That is how DC law is written.

I guess the teacher is also an attorney, or she should retain one.
