I just watched the interview and didn't think it went that bad, I was expecting worse.
The most awkward part was Kate interrupting and talking over the one girl. She needs to learn to resist that urge. |
well, of course. we all know this, but the state can't stop her from having those children, right? There really is no reasonable way to afford a family that large on one income unless you are a millionaire. I don't think Kate COULD go back to work, even if she wanted to, let alone Octomom. How the hell do you work enough and not pay insane childcare costs? (I guess Kate could probably skirt those at this point, honestly, but it is a concern for large families) Yes, they put themselves in this position, and I am in no way defending their choices. I'm just thinking about the everyday of affording and managing a family that large. |
If she managed the money she made from the reality show more frugally, she probably could go back to being nurse. Earnings from the five session have been reported to be around 2.5 million.

What childcare costs? They're in school all day and could go to a public school. |
Not the pp, but private school for 8 would be next to impossible for most people. Private school expenses seems like an excuse for Kate to keep up their media driven lifestyle. |
Lots and lots of families have/had a lot of children and supported them without doing reality tv. It is up to the parents to financially support the family not up to the children to support the parents (in breast augmentation, hair extensions, coloring, tanning, 2 Audi sport cars). Besides, Kate uses the children's money to pay for private school. By the time they are 18, there will be very little left. I'm glad this interview showed people Kate's true colors. She is a vile human being. |
The kids and their necessary expenses (private school, college) are taken care of through trusts. Kate is using the kids to keep up her personal lifestyle. |
She'll be on the view this morning with the girls. Probably same scripted crap..."my kids are unaffected by reality TV, we need money, give us a show." |
OK, as a SINGLE parent....not a family. I kind of doubt Jon is paying any kind of child support. Lots of families have had a stay at home parent and the other parent works, which takes away some of the expense. Yes, she (and Octomom) are vile, but I still wonder how they can pay the bills as a single person with that many mouths to house and feed. Now, in Kate's case, she probably could get around childcare issues at this point, as the older girls are probably at an age where the state says you are allowed to be home alone. Does she still have any family she talks to? That is the only way I could see working with a large family if you are alone. In Octomom's case, she's a total nutjob, but she has 14 little lives that depend on her and she's got to figure SOMETHING out to survive. It is infuriating that she did this on her own, but what's done is done, and now she has to make money somehow...ALONE. |
Was Octomom ignored and neglected as a child? I know she was an only child but didn't her parents divorce? In her interviews, it sounds like she didn't get enough attention or feel loved so she went out to find both of those things by having a tribe of her own. |
that was my understanding of her. She SHOULD have been stopped, though - I cannot believe some idiot doctor LET her take this path. |
