I just saw them at the Harris Teeter in Rockville, MD. Same story here as everyone else. I talked to her for a bit, gave her the only cash I had ($5) and took a card with her gofundme and youcaring links. She told me Adrianne is getting treatment for free in a study at NIH which is why they recently moved here. Said also they're staying in Gaithersburg right now. And yes, the newborn was strapped to her. Pretty upsetting to say the least.

I think I've read they reset the gofundme? So they've gotten wayyyy more than 30k but I could be wrong

My boyfriend and I were approached by her yesterday outside of Ulta in Congressional Plaza in Rockville. She had her blind daughter, a younger daughter and baby strapped to her (couldn't see baby's face at at all-some have claimed the baby is a decoy.) I gave her a little bit of money as she told me about the treatments her daughter is getting for [insert lots of big medical terms] and they handed us a piece of paper for their go fund me page. I visited the page this morning. It seemed odd that they have collected funds from various states and seem to be traveling around asking for money. My boyfriend did a Google search where we found both this forum and a couple of other articles.

I left a comment on their go fund me page with my upset on how she is tricking people out of time and money and I attached links to both this forum and another article written about them. About 20 minutes later my comment was deleted and she posted a sob story update and mentioned that people make false accusations. I have also reported the go fund me page. I read through a lot of the comments on this forum and it seems that the page has been reported in the past but it still exists.

My concern is for the children. While they were dressed, warm and well fed, what these people are doing is not right. It feels as if they are exploiting their children for money and I don't see how they are in school if they spend their time traveling around being tools in helping their parents make money.

All NIH studies are free to participate in. This means she doesn't need to be soliciting donations for health treatments for her daughter. She begs b/c it works and she's been doing it for years. PLEASE stop giving this woman money!

I was approached by her Monday evening, by the elevator, in the parking garage at Trader Joes in Clarendon, VA. I took her gofundme flyer and was going to donate today because she was convincing, I googled her and discovered she is a scam artist. Bleeding hearts beware, she is working in Arlington, VA currently. Elyse you should be ashamed of yourself!

I also saw her last week in the Clarendon TJ's parking garage-- I just found her flier in my purse (that I took to get her to stop talking to me!) and remembered reading about here on DCUM...

Don't you mean pan handler? They don't settle, they travel all over the place all the time, and it's extremely unclear if there kids actually go to school. You can't home school if you don't register with a school district and since they move all over the place usually staying in hotels, most likely do not pay taxes, it's unlikely that they're homeschooling.

Do you think Jason would actually do this while she's out begging?
