she has been promoting this Gold over pink which is trying to take away the awareness of breast cancer and promote awareness of childhood cancer.
As a person with a close family member just dx'd with breast cancer, I have to agree but also add: who is not "aware" of cancer? |

How does one take away awareness? Refocus attention?

They have been spending a lot of time in Hanover, NH, soliciting money at the Co-Op and at local churches.
If you spend any time talking to her, she will give you every excuse under the sun as to why she and her husband can't work, the cost of childcare not the least of them. The husband just looks plain nuts, crazy eyes for sure. They use DHMC for the free healthcare, but her 'sales pitch' is focused on raising money to cover healthcare related expenses, which of course they aren't paying for.... It does make for a great story, however, and it's especially sad given the number of children that are involved. |

| I recognize her! She asked me for money in Tenleytown. Said her child had cancer. If this is a scam then why haven't child services taken in her children? Why aren't the kids in school? |

They relocate too quickly for any one town to keep track of them. They're quite smart, actually....here's what I can put together. The kids aren't in school. They don't pay taxes. They move from hotel to hotel. They raise (at least locally) $500/day and post that info here:
http://www.gofundme.com/adrianne He never works aka solicits donations. He has her doing all the begging, usually with at least 2 children in tow. She carries a pink binder that shows her daughter at her sickest (this is what really irks & upsets me the most). They never stay in one place for more than a few weeks. When I spoke to her she said that they have cues when it is time to move on---I'm assuming this means a drop in donations. They have ignorance on their side. Most people who give them money have no background on them. All they hear is that she has a sick child and they donate. Inevitably, many of these people go home and do some research on the family and that's when they feel like they've been taken advantage of, and that's how many posts turn up in places like this. By the time that people in the community hear about them, they're gone..............on to the next affluent suburb and camped in front of Whole Foods or Trader Joes, but it's always her, never him. They really like the wealthy, liberal suburbs---that's for sure. |

| They're in Eastham MA now doing the same thing. They need to get jobs. Who the hell has 6 children that they can't afford. These people need to be locked up for using their children this way. Those children need to be taken from them and taught real values. |

Found this f-ed up rambling of her's on a blog. She needs to get off the Cape. If I see her in a parking lot up there, I will surely call the cops and tip them off to who she is:

Adrianne is thriving, although there is still more work to be done to say she is in full recovery, her eye sight is still the same asnd the last M.R.I. was clear. It has always been about using the money(money being a tool) to provide nurshing food and having a warm safe room for all of us to be in together at night. I am interested in the concept that the calamity has already hit as it has for our family and taking action is all we can do. Action, not meaning violence, peacefil protesting, fundraising without a tax code, commiting random acts of kindness. My children need me now.....if someone offered us a home no strings attached and it included all of us as a whole we would take it and work to keep that sacred space, just as we do now....as Keli so kindly puts smooches, elyse And…with the mention of Enron, we can tell she's a raging liberal. And so goes the future of America…. |

| oh those poor, messed up children. that is the real tragedy. I could give a crap about how many middle class liberals (me included) fell for her schtick and gave her 40$ in front of whole foods. The real damage is to those poor kids, who dont' have a stable family, school, friends, etc and are being used as pawns. |

| It is truly astonishing that they use Adrienne in the way that they do. They are sick effed up ppl. They were in Eastham a few years back and left in a hurry when people began to catch on their life style. I can't imagine whey they would return here, but I don't imagine they'll be here for long. Those poor innocent children. I would feel much better knowing that it was their tax dollars contributing to the care and medical expenses of their children |

| I'm not sure if she actually has/had cancer, but when they last lived on the Cape(maybe 2- 3 yrs ago) she looked like she was undergoing Chemotherapy. |
