Does that create "discord" as well? Surely, you are just here to stir the pot. No one can be this stupid.

What's the benefit to immigration?

Legal immigrants-usually highly skilled/trained. Some make it clear they're only here for the jobs and have a general disdain for Americans. Rather than rely on these workers, why not focus on training those already in the US?

Illegal immigrants-....Don't get me started.

What are your positives for immigration?

You know, keeping up the whole "land of the free" image thing?

Why are people commenting on the thread to criticize? Either add your own or shut up. I'm black, an immigrant AND I believe in interracial marriage. However, the OP is not going to be persuaded otherwise in this thread so anyone posting to do so is just being a sanctimonious twat.

On my end, I disagree with
adoption
international adoption
people who say they can't cook

I also really dislike SN parents and adoptive parents! I feel like adoption/SN turns them into the kind of morons add pink inspirational email signatures and they are entitled and self absorbed.

What is your objection to holidays? Are you unemployed?

You can't be serious. Unless you are a native American you better make plans to self-deport.

That comment is tired and has no bearing on our needs today. Too often, in our zeal to be a free and open society, we sacrifice US citizens for the comfort of (sometimes ungrateful) foreigners.

You know what, I never do this, anonymous or not, but just go fuck yourself, OP. You bigoted, ignorant, self-centered asshole.

Organized religion because they ALL hate women
logos on anything
people who do not drink
poorly behaved children and the parents who make excuses for them

I see why you never do it. When you do, it's misguided and not applicable.

OH this is awesome. Too good to be true. I am an internationally adoptive mom of a SN child! AND going back for #2, who will also have SNs! We must drive you crazy!

Illegal immigration

I oppose calling same sex partners making a legal union a marriage. I believe they should have the exact same rights as hetero couples, but marriage to me will always be between a man and a woman.

Abortion as a form of birth control or after the first trimester unless it's a danger to fetus or mother.

I could go on and on. I'm quite judgy, but know better than to tell people!

Ooh ooh, I am a mom who's always worked full time by choice. Do you think it's not really my choice, or that all women should SAH or WOH PT once they become parents? How totally weird.

I know it's totally your choice, that you could easily afford to stay home with your children and don't. That is why I judge. Women who truly must work to cover basic bills, I feel sorry for.

What are you judging? That my children are neglected or being raised wrong because their other parent is as equally involved? Do you think because I work by choice, I'm materialistic? Do you think only women who want to spend the majority of their time with their children should have them?

Mostly this. Obviously I don't know you personally, but many people I know "can't afford to stay home" because then they couldn't afford the country club and the X5.

I wish those against "interracial marriage" would clarify. Maybe it's because I'm mixed and the product of an "interracial marriage," but what the hell do they mean?

Like what about people with different colored eyes? Blondes and brunettes? What's the arbitrary line based on looks that you disapprove of?

Makes me crazy to hear "marriage is a big commitment" from these women. Oh, but having a child with this guy isn't?

+1. I think the same thing about buying a house together pre-marriage. Very common now, but just get married for crying out loud.

I also agree.

My reason: watering down of cultural identity. Has nothing to do with looks (whatever that means).

+1, and the same goes for police and rescue personnel, as well

we don't live in a country where they were forced at gunpoint to take these jobs. they chose them.

and because they choose these jobs, i think thats why some people have utmost respect for them.

these jobs obviously come with a risk, yet they decided to join and make it a career anyway. they are willing to put their life on the line for a stranger such as yourself, that says something.

i mean its all good. thats your deep dark secret and you shared it.

See, I oppose creating modern-day ghettos by clumping affordable housing in one area. Who shodul one neioghborhood bear the responsibility for housing the entire city's poor. Put low income housing in Spring Valley!
