OMG how many times I'll have to repeat? I was trying to make her stay put, DH handed me the phone, she went for it and I grabbed it and ran towards the door. She screamed for maybe 10 seconds, I came back gave her the phone and she sat there still watching it for the entire time. The whole scenario didn't last more than 30 seconds. Why you're saying I didn't try to make her stop? I also mentioned I was embarrassed. Isn't it enough? |
For those of you defending the OP, read this, I'm pretty sure it's her: http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/194064.page
She eventually goes nuts. |
OP, do you also sing to your child in grocery stores? 'Cause I recall another ESL lady who got the stink eye there, and posted about it, and posted about it, and posted about it...perhaps you are the same person, and you should take a hint at all the people giving you the stink eye, no? Instead of posting about 1,000 times (with thrush! and mastitis! and a newborn!) trying to defend your ridiculousness.

9:28 here...glad someone else saw the similarities (at the exact same time, no less...) ![]() |
OK another one falling with a parachute in the middle of page 9 thinking she's the genius and is pointing things nobody has pointed out before. Sorry babe, go back and read the thread. We've talhes about all that before. |
If it happening only every 7 months or so I guess she's lucky. |
You guys are spending too much time on DCUM ![]() |
stressful! LMAO!!!! If THAT'S your definition of stressful, I can't imagine what you'll be like when Snowflake comes home pregnant. |
Guys, this doesn't really matter. Maybe the OP is a little whacky and maybe not. Hell, with all of the insults (and in some cases, straight-up hate) directed at her in some of the posts here, I can see how a person might get increasingly unhinged throughout the thread. The point is, she was in a restaurant with her family, her kid was upset, she was trying to address it, and someone (who undoubtedly is childless) gave her a nasty look. He shouldn't have given her the nasty look. |
I wonder how OP has time to be on DCUM 24/7 with an infant and a toddler and a DH who is on "conference calls 12 hours a day" |
Those with no cars have no choice. Another example of DCUM elitist alienation.

Good Lord, PP, you are sooo right! The grammatical structure, word choice (stink) and tone are identical! ******** Such a gorgeous day! I took DD to Gymboree while DH is at school and stopped at the grocery store on my way back. DD was getting impatient sitting on the stroller so I started singing to her the song that was playing on the background - Boys Don't Cry (The Cure). She was laughing, the cashier said some compliment and we were so happy enjoying those few minutes while the lady scanned our items. I noticed the guy behind us banging his stuff on the counter and when I looked up he rolled his eyes at me. What a stink! I sing along out loud all the time! I love the songs they play mostly at Marshall's and Ross. At Così and Panera I keep it to myself though . Nobody ever reacted like that on my face. I was in shock! I understand people having a bad day, I have plenty of those but try to ruin other people's day instead of trying to improve yours? What a stink! |
I wonder if this is ALSO the one who wigged out when the nurses didn't change her baby's diaper in the nursery while she was eating and taking her sweet ass time getting checked out, then came home and posted a bitch post about how the babysitter didn't do the dishes while she was in the hospital. I bet you dollars to donuts it's the same person. |
And that's the moment you said you got the stink eye, according to your original post. So what the customer saw was the parent of a child that had previously been crying and running around(Per your OP) grabbing their phone and heading for the door, leaving the screaming child behind. Again, how do you think that looks to the others in the restaurant? You were the one that posted with such indignation for being given a bad look. That hardly seems like the the actions of someone embarrassed about the situation. |
have you ever Breastfeed a newborn? he'd hanging from my boob for 45 minutes every 2 hours. it's more than enough to come here, laugh a bit, respond and go back to whatever else I feel like doing. tot still naps 2x a day so it's not that hard. I don't get all the drama when people say there's no time for anything with a baby. you should develop better time management skills. my priorities are well set. eat, relax and hygiene. it's not rocket science, you know? |
