I just found out that my friend is probably going to die. This post is so fucking stupid. |
Sorry to hear about your friend. But if you're so upset with the diagnosis, why are you surfing the web over country club posts?
Anyway, Columbia has a brand new family activities building (and new pools) that has a great women's locker room. Very young membership as well. |
"But apparently the clubs have no locker rooms for women, given the number of women I see in tennis whites walking around town in Chevy Chase/Bethesda."
I belong to a club and I found this ROFLMAO! |
Get a grip. Why not say a prayer for your friend instead of proving your moral superiority to people discussing which club they might join. Wow - you're so enlightened! As if people who belong to clubs have never lost anyone. Get over yourself. |
That is hilarious! Plenty of my neighbors from the local club walk around in their whites as well, but we are on the other side of the bridge. |
I thought that she provided a little needed context. |
A little needed context? This string is about what clubs people might like to join, not about the morality of joining a club. The post was totally inappropriate and vulgar. It has no place in a reasonable conversation about what club a person would like to join. I'd agree with the poster if this were a string about cancer or how to deal with terminal illness, but it is a canard to say on a string where people are discussing a certain issue that "my friend is dying, ergo this string is lame (i.e., you people don't get it). I assure you, most on this string appreciate life/death issues, it's just that it is not the place to bring them up. How do you know "she" was a she? |
Amen. |
Than why don't you worry about your friend and quit posting on this page? My father died recently, but it is not relevant to this discussion. What a dope. |
They love wearing the whites, as one pretentious lady told me, because they think they are MILFs. Yes, she called herself that. She's rich and she thinks EVERYONE wants to be her friend (she told me that too).
Please, I run in the opposite direction when I see "the tennis lady". |
Oh give me a break. I'm not the OP. But over 250 is not middle class. |
Perhaps you are labeling others based on your experience with this one person? Are you a liberal? If so, sounds like you're being very prejudiced based on one person. Personally, I run in th opposite direction of men with who have pony tails. Nobody likes filthy hippies. |
I grew up in a small, middle class town. We did not belong to a country club, they didn't even have one in any of the towns near where we lived. My mom's Dad was a mailman and my Dad had a single mom who was a nurse in the city hospital.
Anyway, my mom played tennis. She was always in her tennis whites, running around town. It was just easier - she played tennis at the local park with her friends and when she was done she was probably too busy running errands or picking us up from school, etc. to go home and change. She was definitely not a pretentious MILF......or whatever you call them....... |
What's a MILF?
