Country Club Questions

I don't think one should necessarily consider being in a country club as any sort of indicator or pre-requisite for private school

I now a couple of private school families who are members at local clubs. They are exceedingly avid golfers. Beyond that, there is no mention of it whatsoever.

I don't think it's a big deal to wear tennis whites out at the market, etc. I see plenty of women in work out or yoga gear running errands. It often is just easier to do so after or before a work out. Is tennis that offensive a past time/sport that it irks you? Don't really get it.

I don't see the big deal. I do hawaiian dance and frequently drive the carpool and run to Sutton's in my grass skirt. But I don't wear it to Congressional unless I can't avoid it.

But it is funny how if someone were wearing their...say...sloppy muu-muu, no one would have a problem.

Hey, tennis player lady, stop wearing your tennis clothes. There are people in the world who can't afford to play tennis and you are bothering them. Make sure to change into something slovenly or poor, so they feel okay.

I think the problem is that tennis skirts are not flattering on most mommies - or grandmas. They're okay on the courts, but don't look so good on M or K Streets.

Also, in my experience, many people show up at the club in tennis whites every day but only play every once in a while.

Well, I can tell you most of the men show up every day in my office in suits, but they only work once in while too!

It's like the best dressed and best matched on the ski slopes are the ones who are beginner skiiers.

Oh, and yes ladies, those of you at Whole Foods in Kentlands who are wearing full on tennis dresses or skirts need to take a look in a mirror. Your way-to-tanned, sun spotted, droopey skinned legs DO NOT look good in white skirts. Sometimes I have to pull my sunglasses out because the contrast of the dark skin and stunning white actually hurts my eyes.
