Saying bye to Northwestern (where she was planning to attend before this) and UVA. I’ve never seen her this happy! She felt super jaded after RD, not out of disappointment with her options but because she invested a lot of time and energy into her Princeton application, but was deferred and denied. She had fallen into the “dream school” trap. But, Duke was her second choice! Applied as an Art History and Sociology major to Duke which I assume helped since they’re looking for more humanities kids. |

Congrats to your DC! My DC is also on the waitlist. How did you know they were looking for Humanities kids? I feel mine is doomed now because she indicated a double major of Biology and Theology. |
