Don’t forget about this from 2020: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-53212685.amp |
He’s been offending Black people since the Nixon administration. |

And Mike Lawlor. “Rep. Mike Lawler (R., N.Y.) called the president’s post “wrong and incredibly offensive—whether intentional or a mistake—and should be deleted immediately with an apology offered.” Excerpt From “Trump Posts Video Online Depicting Obamas as Apes” Natalie Andrews The Wall Street Journal https://apple.news/AfsI6Lc_pRuGAUt6iV8UZeA |
| Everyone sharing it is doing exactly what was intended. They added the split second image right at the end of a "serious news" style full minute long video stoking Dominion voting fraud conspiracy allegations about the 2020 election. They deliberately injected the image knowing it would generate outrage to get the intended response of people watching the video. |
He already admonished Trump’s “white power” retweet back in 2020 and Scott still stayed on board with Trump after all was said and done. |
No one is actually watching his dumb video. We all see the image at the end and that’s all anybody actually cares about. |
It angers me as a Black person. Addressing this vile post doesn’t have exclude my anger over his other racist policies. |

I’m not surprised, but it looks like it’s getting harder to hide the dementia.
When mean people start to lose their mental faculties, they don’t suddenly become nice. They get meaner. Don’t expect your mean parent to have deathbed reconciliation and don’t expect Trump to be less overtly racist. |
+1 Our POTUS being awful and careless enough to post this on social media is disgraceful. Completely disgraceful. With regard to DEI; as a policy, it can be effective in some circumstances if applied appropriately. I also strongly believe DEI doesn't address the root of the equal opportunity problem. There are much more prudent and effective ways to level the playing field for all (focusing on resources and programs that give disadvantaged children as close to an equal opportunity from birth as we possibly can). |
He’ll be doing that anyway. He and his father built their family fortune — with the help of taxpayer supported federal programs — by openly refusing to rent properties to Black Americans. This was true at least through the ‘80s. Trump poisoned public opinion against 5 Black and Brown teens by getting full page ads in NYC papers calling for their execution. While the teens were eventually exonerated, their lives will be forever scarred by their experiences in prison — and with American “justice”. Trump and Miller are openly racist and have openly racist goals. A good chunk of the Republicans in Congress AND their constituents are just fine with this. That said, what would you like the masses to do that is likely to have an impact? I’d love it if those who he views as his peeps would rise up and push for values that include overcoming racism. If you have some realistic suggestions for achieving that, I’m all in. |
this isn't carelessness...are we talking about grocery prices? Epstein? ICE? No? Then it worked. |
DP here and I agree with that 100%. This is the nuance that can bridge the gap between racial understanding. |
