Jay Jones wasn’t wrong. And the things he said pale in comparison to what Americans decided they were ok with in the previous election.

I read this post earlier and, after thinking about it, it really spoke to me. I am upset at the state of our nation today and fearful about what the future will bring if Republicans are unchecked. I don’t know what it will take for things to get better. While I would never act on it, I admit wondering whether if Trump were to die that would solve the problem. Is that really any different than what Jay Jones texted?

He said he wanted to see the mom holding the dead kid’s bodies to teach her a lesson and that he would piss on their graves so yes, I would that that is really different from a high level “would things be better if Trump didn’t exist” thought.

Geez, either you're really dense or you've bought into the Republican propaganda. It was exaggeration to make a point. He thought using an extreme scenario would help convey his point better. Of course it was tasteless but please stop pretending as though it was something he intended to act on.

When you attack someone’s intelligence vs their argument, it means you’ve lost the logical side of the debate.

It doesn’t matter if he was going to act on it or not - that isn’t the point. Do you know what the point is?

Not that poster however republicans are all criminals and traitors there is zero reality that is not a fact at this moment in time.

If you love America vote blue if you hate it vote red. If you don’t think I’m right show us one red state or county that republicans have done anything but destroy it for their own person gain, hell I’ll start Jim Jordan Josh Hawley Mitch McConnell Ted Cruz and Rep in the state of Oklahoma or Alabama or MO. Come on now republicans put up your best evidence!

This is your last Chance to vote if you vote red at all. Use it well people because the plan for election denying means you lose your right to vote. By all means vote like your life depends on it because of does

If I were to do this I would write in the candidate who narrowly lost to Jones in the Democratic primary. But I would not do this because defeating Miyares is really important. States that have sued the Trump administration have gotten billions back in previously canceled funding. Miyares will not do this and Virginians will suffer as a result.

Jones’s texts shed light on his true character. This was not a game. This was not a joke. The level of detail in the texts strongly suggests he put some thought into what he wrote.

Jones has no business serving as the Commonwealth’s top prosecutor. I don’t agree with everything Miyares has done as AG, but I’m voting for him because he’s demonstrated a level or principled behavior beyond what Jones has displayed during this campaign.

And, look — if Miyares wins he’s going to work with Spanberger. They’re not going to be buddy-buddy but both of them have aspirations for higher office and screwing Virginia isn’t going to look on anyone’s resume. This apocalyptic “we’re doomed unless we vote all blue” is unmitigated BS.

They have. It’s fake outage.

Because they know Miyares has terrible for VA. Not one lawsuit against Trump.

Jones is clearly losing in the RCP polling average. This discussion is pointless.

I don't care about texts. People are allowed to have private conversations about all sorts of things.

The speeding ticket for driving 116 mph is much worse, to me.

I'll be voting for Spanberger and leaving AG blank.

Will he? I don’t believe that a MAGA can change his stripes. The entirety of the civil rights division resigned when he took office. He said cops can shoot innocent people when they’re frustrated, and he’ll have their back. People are actually going to die because of Miyares. He isn’t working with anyone but Trump.

The Miyares allowing corrupt cops to shoot innocent people without fear of accountability does it for me. But by all means, let’s prioritize an old speeding offense. Or tasteless texts. A blank vote is a vote for Miyares, sorry.

If by principles you mean no accountability in the law, then Miyares is very principled. I hope your son doesn’t encounter a cop having a bad day. (But to Jones’s point, you don’t care about innocent people dying, only your own).

LOL Republican Gov Youngkin will 100% election deny in 2026 and on Nov 4th that is a given.

Republican AG is 100% compromised as well.

Yes you have had elections key word is "had". This is not hard Trump has already started with the election denying crap. Dominon has been bought by one of his sycophants. If you think that moving forward we are going to be voting when Trump never leaves office you are literally an idiot.

We vote.
