Fox News for the week of October 13, 2025, Fox News average 1.537 million total viewers with an average of 235,000 viewers in the A25-54 demo. CBS Evening News viewership for the week of October 13, 2025, was approximately 3.66 million total viewers and 432,000 viewers in the key A25-54 demo.

One MS media outlet doubles Fox News viewership. There are two others networks with more viewers vs Fox and CBS numbers. ABC numbers are over 7 million total viewers and over 850,000 viewers in the 25-54 demographic. NBC averaged 5,576,000 total viewers and 787,000 in the key A25-54 demo. 
Fox News has maxed out its audience and is losing viewers at a faster rate vs the networks over 10 years. If fact all the cable shows are losing viewers for the past 10 years.
A Fox News model will not work for a major network because Fox has all of that viewership and it is 1/2 of what the bottom network CBS has currently.

CBS is the network for old people. "Fox News but with a more civil tone of voice" for the Boomer and Gen X audience is totally on brand for them, and maybe a slight improvement, if they draw audience from Fox News.

The reason corporate media/news is failing is not because of liberal/left media. It is because the core business model has been failing for years because of diminished advertising and the move to digital. Look at the dozens of newspapers and magazines etc that have shuttered in recent years as ad eyeballs move elsewhere (and digital ad revenue has never been even close to on par to what paper ad revenues were). Same with linear TV to streaming, FAST etc. The core media business model has failed.

I was disappointed to see that - My wife and I enjoyed watching. It was one of the few national shows that was on in our area versus seeing the same local news over and over. I liked the weekly segments, especially the music. Saw that Dana Jacobson and Michelle Miller are out.
