Corporate media is dying not because of perception but because 1) media companies can't compete on price because so many folks just get their news for free from Facebook and TikTok (if they read the news at all) and 2) advertisers used to keep newsrooms afloat but those dollars have now migrated towards those same aforementioned platforms.

Bush wing of the Republican party.  News on X is a better product these days, and younger Americans have embraced it.
