Try living somewhere that doesn’t tax food. |
| I’m really intrigued by the person buying the 50 pound bags of flour. On tje one hand, they seem like they are judgemental about people living in small housing or buying cheaper products so I guess rich 94 UMC? On the other hand, they are buying massive quantities of flour to save a couple of bucks. This person should do an AMA—I want to know what their HHI is, what kind of stuff they splurge on. How many freezer chests they own, how many kids they have, where they grew up, etc. |
Yes, more expensive than 2020, but cheaper than 2021-2024 |
If you have never cooked before, then you aren't going to start by making a pie from scratch for other people. You are going to pick one up from Costco. |
|
I think your first fail is using butter in your pie crusts.
The best pie crusts use crisco. Ask my mother in law and my grandma. |
Why buy a whole bag of flour to make one pie if you are a person that doesn't cook enough to know how to shop for baked goods? Use the refrigerated roll out pie crusts, $5.00 for pillsbury or $4.00 for the giant brand, which actually tastes better than homemade pie crust. Shop smarter |
By cruelty free flour, does that mean they don't harm the plants by cutting the stalks? |
Oh. Oh no... Lard, yes. butter yes. Crisco? Ooof. Crisco is easy, but there's no flavor. Butter and vodka. That's the winner. No water. Vodka. |
I assume they waited for the wheat to die a natural death in the field. |
Me too. But they also spend a ton on gallon freezer bags apparently. Maybe they wash them once they use them? |
crisco is seed oil poison use leaf lard or just straight butter |
Butter is milk for baby cows; not humans. |
OMG are there still people who believe this hippie fearmongering nonsense? Seed oils are fine, you're a moron. |
I have never met a hunter who voted blue. Many are moderates though and maybe vote Democrat on local issues occasionally, but they'd never call themselves blue. I do have a lot of hippie friends who live out in rural areas who grow crops, have chickens and cows and homeschool. Those do vote blue, but they don't hunt. I questioned my friend recently why she didn't hunt. She complained about deer eating her gardens and bringing in ticks. She didn't have an answer but wouldn't buy a gun. She got a livestock guardian dog instead. |
By "cooking" you mean deep frying and baking foods that are terrible for you? Yeah, I don't do that. I eat healthy which doesn't include hoarding and eating 20 pounds of flour on the regular. |
