LOL but you know if a Democrat or liberal member of another country’s left-leaning parties said “hey stop buying so much, you don’t need all that stuff, it’s bad for the environment” people would be losing their s***.

Yeah, they did plenty of that too. Politicians telling people how to live is nothing new. And most of what they say is BS. If you don’t believe it’s BS then what are you doing to prepare? Have you started stocking up yet?

Dp here. Ok, name one president who started a tariff war for absolutely no reason and then told Americans they can deal with it by giving their kids fewer dolls and that they don’t need most of that stuff anyway. I’ll wait.

Yes, it’s true. Even our little local paper did a story on small business owners who have to reduce their inventory or cancel orders because of rising cost. Being on the east coast, we will see empty shelves later than most. But it will be obvious by June 1. Some bigger stores stockpiled, but it will run out mid summer. The big guys - Walmart, target, etc- met with trumpeters to discuss concerns and were met with denial.
I am not looking forward to it.

Everyone on Mount Rushmore was pro-tariff.

Dp here, but yes. I have started stocking up. As advised by all the experts. Nothing crazy, but I went to Costco last night and stocked up on non-perishables and toiletries. Not stockpiling, but I did buy what I would need over the next few months. It was busy for a weeknight, and the employees said it has been this way because of the tariffs.

But hey, you go ahead and hold out for those higher prices and empty shelves.

Enjoy all the winning!

I cannot tell if you are being serious. So hard to tell these days.
