Apparently you don’t know a lot of people who work in SCIFs

I do know someone who works in a SCIF. They don't only do sensitive work and also telework some days.

+1

They ‘teleworked’ yesterday as did all of their colleagues. I assume they worked a few hours.

My spouse is literally giving a presentation at a conference virtually from his home office. This weird idea that teleworking isn't working is ridiculously outdated.

It’s not outdated when the person teleworking is out in the snow for two hours!

Stupid. I started work early yesterday at 5 am so there was still plenty of time to be outside. My office has quotas to meet so it'd be obvious if I just didn't log on.

Stupid. Other people worked three hours today and said they teleworked. They didn’t wake up at 5. You aren’t the only federal worker.

I just don't find it plausible that people on the neighborhood sled hill said to you "Tra la, I'm on the clock right now and lying to my boss about it." They probably said something like "I'm teleworking today" or "I just have to be back for a call at 1:00" and you are making unwarranted assumptions about their leave status. Or, they're not even feds and have different rules.

If you really think they were lying and you know where they work, report them. Otherwise give it a rest because nobody believes you.
