New neighbor cut our tree branches

You will remove a mature oak tree because you have to take the leaves? Wow. That is stupid.

Wrong. Trees provide shade and privacy. Let them do do

We have a neighbor whose tree overhangs our driveway and drops a TON of fruit and leaves. It's a huge mess. We have a landscaper who will clean it up but we have to pay them extra to do it. We also can't leave a car in that part of the driveway because it will get disgusting.

I really want to have it trimmed back but I know this particular neighbor will freak out about it. I'm also annoyed because the tree is huge and our landscaper can't do it -- we have to bring in an arborist and it's going to be $$$.

I'm conflict averse but the tree really bugs me. I love trees generally and appreciate the shade but this particular tree is a pain.

Not really looking for advice just sharing a frustrating story involving a neighbor and a tree.
