And the cleaners that come every 5 weeks. That’s an expensive luxury but so worth it. They come when my kids are at school and DH is at work so I get to spend the afternoon alone in my newly clean and quiet house.

You have them come every five weeks? I would love that — I always thought that cleaners insisted on at least a biweekly schedule, which I can’t afford.

NP I was thinking a similar thing. So many of these "little luxuries" are perfumed and that's why I don't buy them.

NP and we do it every three weeks - I'd love to do it every two weeks but three weeks is what works for our budget. Talk to some cleaners, see if they'll work with you on whatever schedule you're looking for!

This made me smile. As a little girl, my father would (very rarely) take me with him to his office if he had to work on the weekend. Spending time with my dad in his world was a treat, even if it was a little boring after we’d been there a while. The absolute best part (even better than office chairs I could spin in, noisy adding machines that could print numbers in red on their paper spools, and giant sheets of green graph paper) were the sugar cubes from the coffee room.

As a cold feet person, my Baffin slippers are a wonderful luxury. They look stupid but they’re so warm and comfy, even in bed if I’m really freezing, and they go in the washing machine but I can also wear them to the mailbox if I want.

You made me smile. When I was really little my grandfather would occasionally take me to his office. I would get to go up in the elevator and then photocopy my hand. It was so amazing.

I take my coffee out on my back porch and spend at least 15 minutes doing absolutely nothing but enjoying it and reflecting, mostly on things that are good.
My DH "puts me to bed" at night much like you would a kid, brings me water, a little backrub (I used to do the same for my kids)
A break in the middle of the work day for some light stretching or a stroll around the park with some good music
using "the good china" for no reason at all for a family dinner when we can make it happen

Jealous of the husband puts me to be comment. Sadly for me it probably stems from never being put to bed as a child. I would love 💕 this.

Molton Brown is one of the most overrated brands. Thier formulas are super drying. It's like MrBubble in fancy packaging. I think people only buy this stuff once. Then they learn the real meaning of "fool me once...."
