The point is that the republicans are arguing that these tariffs Trump has promised are going to bring back jobs and be good for consumers contrary to history and all economic theory. So, yeah, the republicans don’t get to pretend they have nothing to do with the inflation Trump is stoking. And really, Trump using a “whole of government approach” to accomplish what?
