Indian mom: OMG, 2% Asian? omg, omg.

Huh?

I think PP was saying there are only 2% Asian in the student body, whatever that means.
I don't think it's due to the "whiteness" or "rich white" as pointed out multiple times.
I think it's due to the location of two schools.

UVa Asian %: 19%
W&M Asian %: 11%
VTech Asian %: 12%
UNC-CH Asian %: 15%
GTech Asian %: 33%

Wake Asian %: 5%
Davidson Asian %: 6%

Engineering

What about it? Wake has an engineering program.

Only 2.4% of Wake students graduate with engineering degrees.

Off topic but Gatech test scores should be higher with so many Asian students and Engineering majors.

GTech is 6th among public schools. Pretty great!

I got turned off when I found out Prez has to be Christian.

Wow is this true? I didn’t realize that. More info is needed here…

No. All Georgia Tech students submit scores. 77% SAT. 35% ACT. That isn't true with other schools on this list.

Not really, did you see the publics ranked below it? A 1440 is not impressive for a tech school that's 35% Asian. Just my opinion.

As a PP just taught me, GATech is test required. UVA has 60% submitting.

meh schools, but they're about the best some people could get into. So they're trying their best to artificially boost their reputation. It's pretty hilarious.

Describes much of this forum. Meanwhile, they put down as many top schools as possible for their ego.

Back to the original topic- Wake and Davidson appeal to people who may have considered NESCACs and other SLAC’s in the Northeast but want warmer weather, a chance to experience another part of the country and a more conservative or traditional college social life. Great schools that can check off a lot of kids’ boxes

It's still low. I think a 1440 was Emory 10 years ago. Also Georgetown and the like also aren't test optional anymore.
