Allegedly, the two Russians arrested in Slovenia were sleeper agents and they had two kids. The kids did not know they were Russian; they had been raised as “Argentinians” and only speak Spanish. When the plane was en route to Russia, the parents revealed their true origin.
This is so f#cked. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C-KvdUDib7a/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== |
The Americans was a documentary |
Forget about visibility. Didn’t you hear about the 25 year old aesthetician from LA arrested visiting her grandmother in nowhereswille Siberia? She could not be lower visibility and was arrested for donating $50 for medical supplies for Ukraine. Unfortunately she was not part of the swap. She has no family in America and I think really no one to advocate for her, although her ex husbands family posted some very nice things about what a wonderful person she is. A couple months ago someone was posting on the travel forum about going to Belarus and was roundly derided as crazy. |
Shit—the kids had to go back? Feel really bad for them. I wonder if the parents had any warning that they would be part of the swap and could start acclimating the kids (or tell them to run away!). |
Cool, so anyway, Trump didn't actually want Evan released, he wants journalists in prison. |
Were they in jail in Slovenia? The kids must have known something was up. I feel sorry for people that have never had any chance at actual freedom, particularly the kids. |
The kids will probably have a really good life in Russia, if I had to guess. Would there be anything to stop them from leaving if they wanted to? |
Yes, parents were arrested. Kids were likely in some sort of foster care, so eager to be reunited with their "Argentinian" parents. Kids look old enough to realize they were lied to - maybe 9 and 7 years old? |
They even didn’t know who Putin was, standing right next by him. |
| As always, Putin helps democrats to win election. |
Stop making yourself look more moronic than usual. DP |
You need to be at least mildly famous for this White House to care. |
|
How did win? Putin took hostages and we gave him exactly what he wanted in exchange. He had to kill off Navalny first since he was part of the negotiations, but that wasn't much of a challenge |
| They're both spies. No sympathy. |
By getting back his bloody murderer? Putin will now imprison more people for future swaps |
