Is it the one with 5 gold medals, 3 WNBA titles, 3 NCAA championships? Or the one that never won an NCAA championship? |
| So the excuses for the mid performance of Caitlin Clark are her coach sucks, she is the focal point of the defense, the reigning WNBA rookie of the year sucks, racism, jealousy, and Diana Taurasi (arguably the greatest player ever) is not good at basketball. CC soccer moms have more excuses than Jay Z has problems! |
No, the defenders of the old guard keeping an iron clad grasp on its fading glory are the ones with excuses and problems. |
I thought the Olympics are about the best of the best and what have you done for me lately? Are you saying we're just awarding people based on nostalgia now? Pick a lane. |
Dont have to. DT still has the better stat line. |
| Why so many posts about a sport nobody cares about? The WNBA is awful. |
Anti-white racism is why they chose Diana Taurasi is a special kind of argument. |
Wrong again. |
|
No she should not. She is too weak and inefficient at the moment and has not been a part of the USA basketball system for the last few years.
If she improves, she can be there in the next Olympics. |
Shooting splits are near identical between Taurasi and Caitlin Clark at similar volume. CC is 37/33/89 and Taurasi is 37/34/85. Points are similiar. 16.6 vs. 16.3. Caitlin Clark has more assists, but leads the league in turnovers by a wide margin. Neither is a plus defender. Honestly, neither should be on the team, but hard to see any metric by which Caitlin Clark is clearly better. |
Nearly identical is not identical. You tried it though. Just admit you don't like her and will keep inventing reasons to keep her off the team.
|
To the extent they are not identical they favor Tarausi. The 5.4 turnovers a game for Caitlin Clark to 1.5 for Taurasi is the main difference. CC is literally last in the entire WBA in turnover rate. 117 out of 117. |
DP. I like her. She's just not there yet. It's nothing personal. |
Of course it is. We were told she was better. Then the stats came out and they were "near identical". If in doubt why wouldn't you take the person in the upswing of their career, not the downswing? There are obvious subjective factors at play here. |
Sure, sure. But it says above "DT has the better stat line." And that is demonstrably false. |
