Everyone here has now elevated Ben to an obviously sober but nervous fast talker who is worried about the Lopez-Muniz family tainting his otherwise solid, normal children and pining wistfully for the ever-true Jennifer Garner. This mess is fiction.

I think he does, but in a theoretical way. Like, I wish I could be happy with her; she’s clearly great. But he can’t. And I truly hope she doesn’t fall for his BS and is just being a supportive mother of his kids.

I think he misses a sense of maternal care and family stability but he’s an easily bored addict chasing the next high. I doubt if there is any sexual/romantic tension between JG and him.
