I'm from DC.... Assuming that they could try different angles at least. Likely and was are two different things . |
Oh, come on. 14th Joke aside, can we privatize our roads? |
| Also, private police force, sorry “security”. I’ll pay for it and a bunch of neighbors will. |
What parents?! |
Would depend on the color and where they stood on the ME conflict while alive |
South Africa, here we come. But, I agree. When the government doesn’t do their job to prosecute criminals and keep them off the streets, citizens will start looking after themselves. |
We can self-organize and privatize all the services, including security. It’s been a fact of life in many major cities far more capable than DC. We have cameras everywhere and I’m thinking of electrifying the fences or at least spike and crushed glass method. Plus our dogs are trained to bite anyone stinking of cheep reefer |
Why would we? Just get Yawn and his friends out by getting our property values even higher and contracting private police force. I personally love that we’ll create an oasis while the city burns because watch my property price then. And Yawn can move to the burbs. Bye, Yawn, pack up your saddle bags and “git” |
What police? The ones we fired and put in jails? |
I'd like more information about this. I never wanted to live in Brasil or a gated community, but I don't see the alternative |
My husband has a background in this stuff. I told him he should open a decent security service in the district--not untrained people who stare at thieves as they loot the shelves- but the real thing offering decent neighborhood and home protection. Curious about the interest level. Best would be if neighbors/neighborhoods went in on it together, to bring down the cost. Is this something you would go in on with your street? |

Instead of wasting time and resources dealing with the ANC and City Council fools let’s self organize. There are whole bunch of police we defunded that would love to work in Woodley Park, Cleveland Park Woodland etc. while getting pension and not risking jail for chasing a violent criminal.
I’d say let’s just completely ignore the ANC and City Council. Who cares. Won’t be able to touch us and living well is the best revenge. Mr. Yawn can move in with Chaz Allen. https://www.propublica.org/article/public-vs-private-policing-in-st-louis |
Walls don't work. And, how will people read your yard signs? |
