Comstock doubled down again on Casino in Reston

No regular citizen in NoVa wants a casino.

There rest of Virginia doesn't want to pay for a casino in the more booming part of the state.

You want to put a casino in Danville? People there may want it.

In other words, will Virginia taxpayers be on the ok if the promised returns don’t happen?

No. This casino would be financed primarily by a Saudi Arabia investor. The casino owners would retain 82% of first $200 million in gambling receipts, 77% of the gambling receipts between $200 million and $400 million, and 62% of the gambling receipts above $400 million.

Of the remaining gambling receipts, the State Treasury would get 30% of the 38% and Fairfax County would get 8% of the 38%.

Do you have a link about the Saudi investment?

As reported by FFXNow, Tysons Development is a joint venture of the Clemente Development Company and Khaled Juffali Co.”. About Khaled Juffali Co (https://www.kjuffali.com/): “ KJC was founded by Khaled Juffali, one of Saudi Arabia’s leading businessmen. His strong leadership has supported the development of ventures that have shaped Saudi Arabia’s infrastructure and economic growth. Today, KJC manages a diversified portfolio of investments on an international level.”

It’s a train wreck. Why anyone would pay Ben Tribbett for any advice is incomprehensible. He and Scott Surovell are the two most unlikable people in NoVa politics.

People are not paying attention. This thing keeps getting resurrected despite being quashed by local groups. Comstock developers are insidious. There is also Saudi money involved, I believe.

I got my friends and neighbors riled up.

Dave Marsden sucks. And I don't like the answer from Pat Herrity on this either.

.

This will be a net negative on the community. Can’t wait until they start using the lottery argument — this will help raise money for schools. 🙄

They tried that with the 4% meal tax. Didn't work then.

Neither do I. Let’s join forces to block the trash.

If they add pickleball courts to the casino deal, it will pass.

Be quiet. Don’t give them any ideas.
