Why do people become unhinged when you drive exactly the speed limit?

Funny. Just yesterday, I was wondering why VA drivers are so fking slow.

I assume they are slow in general.

We were taught in driver’s Ed to go go 5 miles over the posted speed limit - and this is for 15/16 year olds. I’m picturing a one lane road where there is no passing. If there is a line of cars behind you, just be polite and pull over.

So Tesla’s FSD has multiple speed options and “hurry” goes up to 10 miles over the posted limit and slows for speed cameras automatically.

People do get irritated when you use FSD on the lowest settings and they know your tesla can go much faster. Because I’m also in a Tesla and yall FSD types irritate me 😝

I actually thought I was possibly sitting just past the point where the bus camera would have caught me (it pulled up and stopped while we were all at a red light) and could maybe have gone, but it was too expensive of a gamble to take. This guy one car length behind me would absolutely have been nailed. He didn't even realize that if I had moved he would definitely have gotten a $250 automated ticket. You're welcome, dipstick!

I have gotten a ticket for driving 10 over (80 in a 70)

Isn’t 80 reckless in VA? And the speed limit isn’t 70 anywhere within the DC area.

You wouldn’t get pulled over for 65 in a 55.

Yeah, this is a crazy thread!! I guess all these people saying to drive over the speed limit must have hundreds of speeding tickets if you do that in DC. Since when is obeying the law (speed limit) a bad thing? No wonder you are all protesting the gathering up of the illegal immigrants, you don't think they broke any laws

I’m a slower driver but I drive a Tesla. You actually have to try hard to go slow and smooth in a Tesla because it goes 0-60 in 2 seconds or less depending on model. Teenagers and 20 year olds keep trying to race me at lights (revving engines, etc) and I just want to get my tacos and go home. I’m a mother. This isn’t Tokyo Drift. People are insane nowadays.

I think the insane part is the FSD settings. Driving should be active and engaged. Using cruise control to tool around locally is ridiculous and lazy.

If I'm going exactly the speed limit on a one lane road, I'm certainly not wasting minutes of my life to pull over so maniacs behind me can get to their destination 20 seconds faster. You speedsters honestly sound incredibly dim. It's like you can't admit to yourself that your speeding is 100% pointless and accomplishes nothing but burning more fuel and making the roads less safe.
