Argentina is not 'latin or hispanic'. |
Western euros don’t apply to JHU International is vast majority Asian and non-western euro |
Great. Another thread devolving into grievance and paranoia. |
Argentinans lean into the Hispanic crap when it comes to stuff like college admissions but are like the third reich the rest of the time |
So? Penn was 40% Jewish in the 90s and 2000s |
Only 48% submit scores. This was a game changer in admissions. |
Scores were required. |
Hopkins latest data set shows 60 percent submitted scores. |
Guess white people looking for a spouse no longer want to go.

Yeah that’s crazy Schools like JHU and CMU and gtown will never have hypsm prestige or Dartmouth quality of life so need to lean into test scores to maintain their brand because thats what they trade on. They don’t have the cache or QoL to follow the others |
Georgetown requires scores (all taken), doesn't superscore, likes to see AP scores, is not on the Common App., etc. It is one of the few merit-based universities left. They don't falsely drive up the number of Applicants to make their selectivity rate appear greater than it is like many USNWR darlings. They already self-select qualified applicants because those with low test scores do not bother applying. |
😂 😂 😂 Liberal white people are the most hypocritical about these things - it’s so hard for them to admit it but their actions speak volumes |
Yeah I didn’t mean that gtown had to change policy but for JHU to Match it |
Argentinians are legit Hispanic by every definition I've seen. For example, census dot gov: "OMB defines "Hispanic or Latino" as a person of Cuban, Mexican, Puerto Rican, South or Central American, or other Spanish culture or origin regardless of race." Argentines would be dumb not to play that readily available card. But, as DCUM thinks some Hispanics are "cheating", what we really need is for DCUM to put on its expert Nazi racial scientist hat and precisely define which types of Hispanics "deserve" any social or college admissions advantages. How brown do you have to be to avoid the dreaded "white Hispanic" label? Should admissions committees use a special chart? ![]() |
