| Same as you -- 8 to 10 years or so. I've had my Forrester for 5 years and still think of it as "new," lol. I think my DH has had his Blazer for like 15 years now. Cars just aren't important to us, and DH hauls all kinds of stuff around in his. Keeping such old cars around is easier when you know how to work on them yourself, which my DH does. |

I sold my 2004 Toyota a year ago. It only had 60k miles.
It had a tape deck and cd player. My kids thought the tape deck was a Pokémon card holder. I sold it because I lost comfort driving long distances with the family as; while in good shape, almost 20 years not garaged concerned me for a strut or something just breaking in middle of nowhere. |
+1 I'm the same. I'll keep my vehicle for years as long as I can trust it on a long trip. If I cannot, then it's time for a change. |
