Whitman Graduation Postponed

"Most districts" start before Labor Day, not after.
Last week's graduation ceremonies would have been this week. Blair, Churchill, Damascus, and Wheaton all had June 1 graduations which would have been Thursday, not just Whitman.

Do these MCPS staff flunkies not realize that you can't simply change a dinner reservation at a Michelin-starred restaurant on the fly? Do they think we all celebrate our kids's graduations at Olive Garden and can just show up whenever we want? Why didn't MCPS have a back-up plan for this once-in-a-generation unique set of environmental circumstances that would have allowed them to move the ceremony inside and still have it this morning? Thanks, Monifa. Typical lack of preparedness from MCPS even until the bitter end.

Is this satire? Because if not, I get the disappointment, but this is next-level Karen-ism!!!!!!

Yes, it's satire. Everyone knows there aren't any Olive Gardens in Montgomery County.

I beg to differ.. the set that goes to a michelin restaurant would not know this. I'm impressed that they even know what an Olive Garden is.

There also aren't any Michelin-starred restaurants in Montgomery County.

Duh, they had the private jet on standby.

Seriously though, this set sends their kids to Big Three anyway. Whitman is for strivers and new money new arrivals who loved Beverly Hills 90210.

Code Red, unless there was a special patch of high-quality air just over Whitman HS.

The PTA didn’t pay for one? Dang, y’all getting cheap or were you just broke after all those $200 teacher appreciation gift cards you brag about?

So then, B-CC is for down-to-earth urban-oriented families with money and roots in the community who loved Degrassi Junior High?

I loved both Degrassi and 90210. I couldn’t decide so my kids go to WJ.
