Norwood

We have a child in both the lower and middle schools at Norwood (we moved them to Norwood during the pandemic), and we are very happy with both programs. No school is perfect, but Norwood is providing a rewarding, challenging and nurturing environment and education. The music and arts programs are especially good. We purposely chose the K-8 model for a variety of reasons. There is nothing wrong with K-12, and we know kids at those schools who are very happy, but that's not what we wanted for our kids. We also really like the other Norwood families we've met. It's a welcoming and friendly community.

Norwood is a good place for placement and preparation, but everyone is so rich and stuck up. From a past students experience.

There's a lot of wealth but there are so many down to earth and chill people at Norwood. I think our preschool in Chevy Chase had way more stuck up parents than at Norwood!

This was not our experience at all...

Agreed. It's really the opposite of our experience over the last 6 years. Very friendly, down-to-earth community.

I second this. We haven't experienced this at all. Yes, plenty of families have money, but we haven't found the students or the parents to be stuck up at all. Quite the opposite, really.
