Norwood

The Norwood hater may be the family who kept their son at the school despite being counseled out. There is one child in the current 8th grade in that situation.
We are a Jewish family and have found Norwood to be beyond supportive and accommodating. The students are open minded and the staff gives no hw or tests on any holidays. We will miss Norwood so as we have an 8th grader there.

We are a Jewish family with a child in the 8th grade and I agree 100% on all these points.

. No way. Only with hook.

Why is that? If the kid gets good grades what’s the issue?

Is the school just less invested?

I think they’re just winding you up. We know a student who joined Norwood in 8th and went on to Sidwell.

What about for starting in 6th?

My child started in 6th and had a very good experience. If I had known 5th was their first year of MS, I would have done it then. Our only regret about Norwood was not being there longer.

Current Norwood parent here. My child is in the grade where the antisemitic events happen. Many kids overheard the comments and the school even acknowledged they handled the situation was wrong. No apologies to the students offended and no recourse for the children making the statements. To say we have been woefully disappointed in the school is an understatement. We are doing everything we can to switch out next year

+1, I know several kids from my son's class who joined in 7th and got into top schools.

My DC is a Norwood student and I felt like I was the only one having a bad experience. The learning specialist is overworked and can’t do her job properly which is affecting my DC.
