| I am a nurse and deal with lots of picky patients but I am actually going to side with OP on this one. OP-you can reach out to patient relations if needed. This is an easily fixable issue. |
No, that’s for billing purposes. |
Medical insurance and teaching licenses? No. Perhaps life insurance could be a problem, but if you already have a congenital heart condition, then you’re not likely to have non-group life insurance. |
I can’t imagine why. |
Well, people are saying it doesn't matter. It does matter. |
| Can you return to your former PCP? Seems you had a good relationship with that doctor. |
NP. Things like “educated patient on the Mediterranean diet” when OP is saying she was already on the diet don’t really matter. Perhaps there were pros and cons to the diet that the doctor wanted to make sure she noted as having been relayed to OP, or perhaps she was making herself look better on the record than she should have been. But it’s not worth “correcting” when a discussion about the Mediterranean diet did indeed occur so it’s more a matter of how the discussion is described. A misdiagnosis is another story. |
Kaiser I guess! Contact the Maryland Department of Insurance. They are really helpful. If you have Kaiser, you will be familiar with the Insurance Commission at some point anyway. Kaiser often delays urgent treatments and while I hope that doesn't happen to you, it has happened to me and to my son. Kaiser is very responsive to complaints filed with the Dept of Insurance. Make sure you have their contact info in your phone in case you need it one day urgently if Kaiser denies care. |
