For example, the White House Press Secretary had her account frozen for tweeting about a New York Post article about Hunters laptop in the month before the 2020 election. I would say that was an abuse of power and an unethical decision by twitter.

Well it was a a totally fake story made up by Rudy.

Then why the claim it was 'hacked'?

The White House telling a private company what to publish and what not to publish is, indeed, a violation of free speech

No such allegation was made. Again, be very specific. If you are going to make an allegation, link to the tweet that supports the allegation.

Most of you clearly did not read the tweet thread and are relying on second-hand accounts that distort was was posted.

This are requests to remove pictures of Hunter's penis.

And?

I don’t think this whole thing proves that twitter was unethical. I think it just shows that they were a Democrat-party-aligned organization. Which, given their industry and headquarters location, should surprise nobody. Perhaps that will now change with Musk in the drivers seat.

It is that Twitter should not have suspended the account of The New York Post. Twitter should not have blocked links to the New York Post story.
And neither should Facebook have done these things.

This is a valid argument, though not one with which I necessarily agree. But, neither Twitter nor Facebook acted illegally or unethically. Moreover, there is no evidence that Twitter was acting on behest of Democrats or Biden.

The biggest problem with the laptop is lack of any reliable chain of custody. Seems to me many people had access to it, to be making all kinds of wild claims about what was or wasn't on it (including Rudy Giuliani at one point claiming there was child porn on it). While I don't doubt there are real files and emails on the laptop, other things could easily have been planted or altered and it's a known tactic of GRU and others to plant damning forgeries in the midst of real content.

And, at the exact same time that the laptop story surfaced, a bunch of other things flew around and raised huge red flags, for example some emails that showed signs of being forgeries, some emails that were curiously image files rather than being actual emails or pdf's of emails. Add to it the super-sketchy "corroboration" that came from "Biden business partner Tony Bobulinski" who had a history of fraud and a $600k judgement against him that mysteriously got paid off as he resurfaced, along with his "evidence" being photos (!) of iphone screen shots (!) of messages allegedly with Biden, which were being displayed on a Blackberry with a cracked screen that was connected to a RUSSIAN cellular network (!!!!) https://twitter.com/JeetoCheesus/status/1319407511821312006 It all ended up looking like a crude attempt at salting the mine.

If there were any consistency among Republicans, those rascals that pretend they like the Constitution, they would be upset about this.

I checked Trump’s truth tweets for today. I’d like to give him a big round of applause for spelling “cajoling” correctly. That’s a big accomplishment!

So what you are saying is that the Bobulinsky emails could have been falsified, meaning that the copies Bobulinsky had on his own computer with email addresses/receipts, etc were falsified too, even though it never left his own custody?

Fox and WSJ investigated Bobulinski’s emails and concluded there was no business deal and no money. It was bullshit.

What the fresh absinthe bender hell did I just stumble into in this thread?

This is the dumbest and most incoherent conspiracy, and that’s really saying a lot.
