I don’t see yet how this was not deliberate. How does a car come down this street and end up in the restaurant at a 90 degree angle? |
I'm not the pp you are accusing of "obsessing" but I also want to know. Is the driver elderly? If I see a lot of accidents caused by elderly maybe I will be motivated to ask representatives to consider a law that elderly should be more frequently tested. Does the driver even have a license? I have seen people barely give a "slap on the wrist" for driving without a license. If it became known that this driver did not have a license maybe people will demand harsher penalties for those who drive without--or come up with ways to prevent it from happening in the first place. There's a ton more examples, but you get the idea. |
Better question — why are you trying to hide it? |
| UBER should release a statement! |
| Of course people want to know. Did the driver have a medical event? Were they suicidal? This whole thing is just so bizarre. |
I agree, it’s really bizarre. I suppose there could have been a medical emergency that could have caused an acceleration, or an issue with the vehicle or something. But the angle at which the crash occurred is strange and it must have been at a pretty high rate of speed. |
looking at his phone, speeding, takes the left turn too fast and over corrects into the pub. |
how many car accidents do you think there are daily in America? |
I'm kind of flabbergasted you think it's bizarre. People drive recklessly and stupidly *every day* in the DMV. Areas like Courthouse are dense with pedestrians and retail, yet municipalities refuse time and time again to make them more safe. This kind of accident is 100% predictable, not bizarre. People crash into houses, light poles, other cars, bikes, children, every single day. |
I’m not trying to be rude but are you familiar with this intersection? courtHouse Road starts as an offramp at route 50 with a stoplight, one block then a stoplight at the courthouse/bayou bakery. One more block then a stoplight at the intersection where he was coming from at Wilson. One of those lights is generally always red. In my 20 years of living here I’ve been able to go straight off 50 to where the pub is without getting g caught at one of those lights. How someone could get up enough speed to cause it’s kind of accident is certainly bizarre and flabbergasting! I’m wondering if he hit the gas instead of the brake. |
And no one died. What do we need to do? Add another traffic light to the traffic light? |
Lol. There is no conspiracy, dude. Why do you need the info? How does affect your life? |
This area is one of the highest traffic fatality areas in Arlington. Have a look for yourself. https://www.arlingtonva.us/files/sharedassets/public/Transportation/Documents/Action-Plan_revised_draft_v3.pdf He was likely racing the light to turn left onto Wilson and lost control. Happens ALL THE TIME. And a car only has to be going 25-30 MPH to do some real damage. |
Yup. Probably made an error while turning left. Do people sit around dreaming up conspiracy theories for fun? |
I don't think you know how to read a map. Check your sources again. |
