It does seem odd that you can opt out of testing, but you can't opt out of TTR.

Isn’t “using” the test without actually swabbing a nose effectively the same thing as opting out of TTR? I don't see the point.

The vaccine requirement is absolutely bananas. DC is an outlier in this respect around the nation (never mind THE WORLD!). I saw today that 40% of black kids age 12-16 are unvaccinated. Is DC really planning to bar 40% of black kids from attending school? This is unbelievably ridiculous/stupid/shortsighted/not going to work or happen. I feel like somebody made a (uniformed) decision back in June and is afraid/unwilling to back down - no matter the consequences.
