Lucky for Goulet most people are paying attention to the Jan 6 hearings and by the time they're over he'll have time to think it over and sanitize his twitter feed.

Pretty sure everyone screenshot this for posterity. Wow we really dodged a bullet with this dude here. Even Salah Czapary was able to be civil here. That bodes well for Salah in the future. On the other hand, Eric looks like a bit of an idiot without impulse control. Honestly, he could have just shut up. I guess we won't be seeing much of him in the future. (even though he claims he will now get started in local politics...)

If you go back to the dinosaur age of this election, there was a mini-scandal about Goulet getting polling data from DFER:
https://washingtoncitypaper.com/article/558653/eric-goulet-says-hes-seen-a-poll-in-the-ward-3-race-hes-telling-shifting-stories-about-how-he-got-it/

The key to that story was that Troy Kravitz was able to bait Goulet into admitting on tape that he had seen the polling data in question. He baited him by insulting him a bit and getting him on the defensive.

That was when I knew Goulet had poor impulse control.

. . . and this was in response to a challenge laid down by Henry Cohen asking candidates to say just one nice thing about the other candidates. The most telling response is that about how he is newly motivated to participate in community issues in Ward 3. It seems that the irony of that tweet has escaped him.

I thought it was telling that he didn't belong to the Palisades listserv, which has like 4,000 members. He had to have a surrogate forward his comments.

I followed the election here, and on the Palisades, Foxhall and Glover Park lists. I assume that's what he means when he's talking about Frumin's supporters on the listservs. I don't remember anything that was said about him being particularly nasty or untrue. Just calling out his ties to dark money and his campaign's ties to the Old Hardy lease.

I just went through several listservs. I did not see one disparaging comment about Goulet from self-proclaimed Frumin supporters. Not one.

If there are any Goulet supporters or insiders here, I would be very interested in links to comments that Mr. Goulet is referring to.

It’s fascinating that even in victory that Frumin supporters lack magnanimity.

It’s a poor reflection on yourselves and your candidate.

This is part of being a narcissist. You can't distinguish between disagreeing and disparaging.

Eric Goulet has entered the chat.

Please show where there is no magnimity. Mr. Goulet levied a public charge against "Frumin Supporters" and I cannot find anything disparaging. I see some posts about DFER and posts that talk about Frumin versus Goulet on different policy issues, but nothing that I would consider to be disparaging or a personal attack.

So unless someone can show otherwise, I will hold my judgement that Mr. Goulet is clearly not the person being "magnanimous" here, given his airing of grievances.

There was nothing wrong with that thread. Not sure what you think is so wrong with it?

My money says that by the next election he doesn't even live in DC any more.
