Confused—wealthy white women want supply of non-white babies?

NP here: of course not, if you're a sane, compassionate, and committed parent. These kids need love and safety first. Identify and self-actualization can be addressed after basic needs are met first.

A white parent can aptly raise a black child. A black parent can aptly raise a white child.

Generally speaking, having a good home is preferable to having no home. In an ideal world, Black children would be raised by Black parents, because navigating the ever-present racism in the US is tricky, and because historically, Black families could not control their fertility/keep their families together because of slavery and poverty attendant thereto. That said, having a good home is preferable to no home. There are many Black and brown children available in the US for adoption - and not enough adoptive families willing to adopt them -which is why they are exported to more tolerant countries like Germany and Canada. If all of the LGBTQ families and egg-donor families would adopt these children instead of pursuing designer babies, we would have less of these children languishing in fostercare.

Wrong. It is difficult to get a baby if any color. And when you do you hop on a flight within hours of the call.

This is a serious question no snark intended. There is a PP on a rant that white people should adopt black, but not white babies. What is the reason black babies are not all adopted by black people? PP feels this is a need whites are obligated to satisfy. Makes no sense.

Mehta is being said is that the majority of babies that need to be adopted are black.

And black people do adopt but on average have far less resources than whites.

The majority of people looking to adopt are white. The majority of children/babies that need to be adopted are black.

What is not clicking for you??
