Generally speaking, having a good home is preferable to having no home. In an ideal world, Black children would be raised by Black parents, because navigating the ever-present racism in the US is tricky, and because historically, Black families could not control their fertility/keep their families together because of slavery and poverty attendant thereto. That said, having a good home is preferable to no home. There are many Black and brown children available in the US for adoption - and not enough adoptive families willing to adopt them -which is why they are exported to more tolerant countries like Germany and Canada. If all of the LGBTQ families and egg-donor families would adopt these children instead of pursuing designer babies, we would have less of these children languishing in fostercare. [/quote]

Why are you limiting it to LGTBQ+/egg donor families?  If you're that committed to adoption it would seem any people should be adopting languishing children not just families who rely on reproductive assistance.[/quote]
