Zafiro Añejo, a fictitious brand of tequila created for Breaking Bad, is a distilled beverage made from the blue agave plant. Gustavo Fring notably poisoned a bottle of Zafiro Añejo, which was later drunk by Eladio Vuente and other high-ranking members of the Cartel, causing their deaths.

In Better Call Saul, Jimmy and Kim con Ken into buying them shots of the same brand of tequila (with pineapple top) by posing as two siblings looking to invest their million-dollar inheritance. They end up drinking a whole bottle and leave before Ken discovers the amount of the bill. Kim takes the pineapple top as a souvineer.

It is a fictitious brand because they had product placement issues. No one wanted their high end tequila used as poison. Zafiro is Spanish for saphire which is an ironic reference to the blue meth

I want to know what that phone call was about. Did Saul get in contact with Kim? Was she gone?

Something very upsetting happened on the other end of that line that brought back up a lot of old feelings and a lot of pain.

I am confused sbout the Jeff/Jeffy thing. Are they supposed to be the same guy but the actors were changed? It seems sloppy for a show that is so amazing with small details.

DS and I are watching together. He is annoyed by the slower pace of the recent episodes but I have a feeling something big is about to happen.

Agreed that I wanted a happy ending with Kim but I am pretty certain Saul will die, end up in jail or generally meet a lesser fate.

This show is so good at paying off earlier episodes. I kept wondering why Francesca went to that pay phone at 3pm in the black and white Cinnabonverse.

In Episode 5 of Season 4 of BCS, they were in the Breaking Bad timeline between “Ozymandias” and “Granite State”, Saul is preparing to call the vacuum cleaner place. He tells her to call.

Bryan Cranston was 100% Walt I thought. But Aaron Paul's speech wasn't quite right and his voice changed. Anyone think we will see them again?
