Kim clearly wants to atone for her sins. Saul is going in the opposite direction.

Oh man I didn't even catch that! I'm glad Jimmy and Kim are together again, sort of. In my imagination, she helps him get off sooner. I don't know. He atoned for his sins, the way she did. I liked the scene with Chuck, which I thought was a flashback but was actually a "what could have been"- his regret, basically, that it didn't end up like that.

I’m not sure how I wanted it to end, but that ending has left me feeling really depressed…especially seeing him at Montrose, “the Alcatraz of the Rockies.” To go from 7 years to 80+? Ugh.
The real ending is when some loose end (maybe from the cartel, maybe a former client) shanks him in the yard.

We got Jimmy back, he confessed and wanted to atone for everything - - all for his love of Kim; and he gets her back.
Amazing how they shared a cigarette in the final scene, recreating their first.
