There are a lot of dedicated, hard-working Asian students in the Class of 2025 that have deserved much better than the vitriol that has been thrown their way by the miscreants on this board. They didn’t decide what process they applied through and they deserve far, far better than what they hear here, which in part explains the treatment they get from some of the students in earlier classes. Shame on you. |
And to bring parents onboard. There was no public outreach to speak of... It was arrogant of the FCPS board to overhaul the admission process so fundamentally with blatant disregard for the community impacted by it. At universities, for example, this type of change in the process would have taken minimally 2 years to implement. And yet, in the fall of 2020, parents of students who were planning to apply to TJ were left in the dark about what was to come. |
Because those racist losers only care about pandering to a certain group and Asians are expendables to them. They have no principles. They should get everything coming to them. |
Imagine a board full of white folks in a HBCU plotting to reduce black students and not engaging with the parents there. |
TJ wasn’t founded as a historically Asian school. It was built to serve the whole community of STEM nerds. Not just a few entitled, rich middle schools. |
Happy to see the Democratic hacks on this forum mix up their usual anti-Asian racism with some old-fashioned class warfare. “We’re not just screwing Asians, we hate everyone at Carson!” |

This comment again tells you what the Coalition folks believe. They believe that TJ is “their community”. They believe the spaces at the school “belong to them”. It gets grosser and grosser the more they dig their heels in to defend what they believe is their turf. |
I’m not anti-Asian at all. I just think there is value in expanding access to more of FCPS. |
How is TJ similar to an HBCU? I do not follow. |
+1. And it's really hard for me to understand how the new admissions system is allegedly racist against Asians when over half the students admitted under this new system were... *checks notes*... Asian. |
This is a great point. |
A school with over 70% Asians has decisions made about it's admissions process by a board with 0% Asians with a stated intent to reduce Asians. |
You could tell that to the judge. |
Care to elaborate? |
